Aidoc has successfully secured $150 million in funding to enhance its clinical AI foundation model, which gained regulatory approval earlier this year.

This latest financing round, announced by Aidoc, aims to broaden its clinical applications, introduce new features, and facilitate global deployment of its AI platform. With this infusion, Aidoc's total funding has surpassed $500 million, following a similar financing round just nine months prior.

In January, Aidoc received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for an AI algorithm that analyzes CT scans of the cervical spine, alongside a multi-triage technology capable of identifying 11 medical conditions from CT images of various body regions. This shift from targeted to more versatile technologies underscores the company's commitment to enhancing AI's role in healthcare.

Aidoc's proprietary clinical foundation model, known as CARE, is currently utilized in nearly 2,000 hospitals, analyzing over 60 million patient cases annually. The company aims to leverage this funding to minimize diagnostic errors, which are linked to numerous patient deaths and serious health issues in the U.S. Aidoc's CEO, Elad Walach, emphasized the goal of ensuring that AI supports every complex diagnostic decision by 2030.

This significant investment will enable Aidoc to advance comprehensive AI solutions across CT and X-ray workflows, including the automation of draft report generation. The company plans to expand its capabilities further and enhance the global reach of its aiOS platform, reflecting a growing trend toward integrated clinical AI systems in healthcare.
