VERAXA Biotech has announced a collaboration with Ardigen to enhance its cancer therapy pipeline through AI-driven drug discovery.

This partnership aims to optimize the selection of cancer target pairs for VERAXA’s BiTAC® platform, which focuses on conditionally active T cell engagers (TCEs) and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). By leveraging Ardigen's AI capabilities, VERAXA intends to improve the identification of synergistic target combinations, potentially increasing the success rates of its drug development initiatives.

VERAXA’s innovative approach involves a Boolean "AND-gate" logic, which requires the simultaneous expression of two targets on cancer cells for therapeutic activation. This method aims to minimize toxicity to healthy tissues, addressing a common challenge in cancer treatment. The collaboration is expected to utilize existing preclinical and clinical data to refine therapeutic designs and explore previously challenging targets.

Christoph Antz, CEO of VERAXA, emphasized the transformative potential of this AI application in guiding their development strategy. The partnership represents a strategic move towards integrating AI into their R&D efforts, with the goal of accelerating the delivery of precision oncology therapies to patients.
