An AI-driven healthcare summit and the culmination of the ‘MedTech Challenge Grand’ are set to take place in Mangalagiri today, uniting a diverse group of stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
The event is expected to attract around 300 participants, including startup representatives, healthcare officials, and experts from various sectors. A key feature will be live demonstrations by startups that have implemented AI-based services in government hospitals as part of pilot projects. These demonstrations will highlight the practical applications and effectiveness of technology-driven healthcare solutions.
Health Minister Satyakumar Yadav will present cash incentives to the winning startups from the MedTech Challenge Grand initiative, which has seen 18 startups deliver services across four categories: diagnostic tools, portable devices, smart monitoring, and telemedicine. Over 37 days, these startups have assisted nearly 15,000 patients, focusing on critical areas such as tuberculosis detection and neonatal care.
The Committee for Applied Technologies in Health (CATH) will evaluate the outcomes and announce winners during the event, with total incentives amounting to Rs 40 lakh distributed among the top startups. A separate session will delve into best practices in AI applications in healthcare, featuring insights from both national and international experts.
This summit underscores the growing integration of AI technologies in healthcare, aligning with the vision of local government leaders and marking a significant step toward enhancing patient care through innovation.
