REDCap
Secure data capture and management for research studies and clinical operations, with online and offline survey capabilities.
Overview
REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases. Developed to support data collection for research studies and operations, it is used across a wide range of environments and data types. REDCap is maintained and distributed through the REDCap Consortium, a network of institutional partners that each host and support their own individual REDCap systems.
The platform is free to non-profit organizations that join the REDCap Consortium. As of current figures, the consortium includes 8,273 active institutional partners across 165 countries. The software has supported over 2.5 million projects, with more than 4.2 million users, and has been cited in over 53,600 peer-reviewed journal articles.
